Reverend Veronica A. Murphy
Vice Chairperson, Board of Directors, Little Voices of Truth

Rev. Veronica A. Murphy currently serves as the pastor of St. John A.M.E. Church in Selma, North Carolina. With a deep passion for service and advocacy, she has spent her career uplifting individuals and communities through roles in both the public and faith sectors. Her professional background includes serving as a Medicaid Case Manager and Intermediate Supervisor at Albemarle Mental Health Center, a Child Protective Services Social Worker at the Sampson County Department of Social Services, and presently as a Coordinator with Trillium Managed Care Organization.
Rev. Murphy is a lifelong learner and advocate for education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johnson C. Smith University, a Master’s in Theology from Roanoke Theological Seminary, a Master’s in Business Administration from Strayer University, and a Master’s in Divinity from Shaw University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Liberty University. Her academic and leadership achievements are recognized through memberships in honor societies such as Alpha Chi, Golden Key International, and The National Society of Leadership and Success. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Her commitment to spiritual leadership and community impact is evident through her many affiliations. She serves as the Vice President and former chaplain of the North Carolina Eastern Alumni Chapter of Johnson C. Smith University’s National Alumni Association, the Northern District Caucus Leader of the North Carolina Conference Women in Ministry, and is actively involved with the Goldsboro/Wayne Branch of the NAACP. She also contributes to the Faith Leaders for Life program, which focuses on suicide prevention.
Rev. Murphy’s role as a Community Health Ambassador and Point of Contact for the Duke Cancer Institute’s Community Outreach, Engagement, and Equity program is especially close to her heart. Having grown up in rural North Carolina and experienced firsthand the devastating impact of cancer on loved ones and neighbors, she is deeply committed to educating communities on the early warning signs and importance of cancer prevention.
Above all, the title Rev. Murphy cherishes most is being a child of the Most High God. Her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, reflects her enduring faith: “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

Cheri Brichetto
Vice President Strategy & Support, Board of Directors, Little Voices of Truth

Cheri Brichetto is the Vice President of the Board for Little Voices of Truth and a founding member whose quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering support have been instrumental since day one. As the founder’s best friend since childhood, Cheri has walked closely alongside the heart and vision of LVOT, offering thoughtful insight, steady encouragement, and a deep-rooted belief in the power of truth, healing, and love.
Cheri brings a wealth of experience and a heart for service to the mission. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and has worked in various professional roles that reflect both her compassion and versatility. Her career journey includes working with children and adults with developmental disabilities, experience in the commodities industry, and service in diverse financial roles. This broad perspective, paired with her natural discernment and empathy, makes her a uniquely valuable voice on the board.
Her deep commitment to advocacy and inclusiveness aligns perfectly with the mission of LVOT. As Vice President, she provides invaluable leadership and perspective, helping to guide the organization’s vision of fostering healing, hope, and systemic change.
Though she prefers to remain behind the scenes, Cheri’s presence is felt in every step of the organization’s growth. Her calming nature, integrity, and belief in the preciousness of every individual serve as a constant reminder of the “why” behind the mission. Cheri exemplifies the power of quiet leadership—and is a cherished part of the LVOT family.
